KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA 2D/1N ITINERARY

Once again, a very cheap international ticket prices was offered last November 2009 were we get our round-trip ticket to Kuala Lumpur for only Php600. We haven't actually planned too much of this because this is only a short travel for us. We scheduled our trip on July18-21. We left Manila at 9:30am and back to Manila from KL at 1:30am making it a stressful one at least for me. hehe! Here's our entire travel itinerary with actual spending that you can refer to when you plan to go there: Make sure you have your Malaysia Ringgit ready before leaving Manila as the money changer in Kuala Lumpur opens at around 8am. Est Php 14 to RM 1
Airport:
5:00pm-6:00pm - travel from Pasig to NAIA Airport (taxi fare cost Php150)
6:00pm-6:15pm - check-in (terminal fee and airport tax - Php1620+750)
6:15pm-7:30pm - dinner (noodles Php 79 and rice meal set Php 79)
7:30pm-9:30pm - waiting time until departure
9:30pm-1:45am - arrival Kuala Lumpur International Airport (LCCT)
TOTAL = Php 2678
Kuala Lumpur Sentral
2:30am-3:00am - check-out at KLIA and buy bus ticket to Kuala Lumpur Sentral (RM 9)
3:00am-4:00am - travel from KLIA to Kuala Lumpur Sentral riding Airbus Liner
4:00am-4:15am - travel from KL sentral to Bukit Bintang via taxi (RM 25 / 3 person = RM 8.33). Taxis ask for fixed price during this time so make sure to not go beyond RM25.
4:15am-7:30am - breakfast (KFC's breakfast meal of sausage, scrambled egg, hash brown and coffee for RM5.50). We opt not book for a hotel room at this time because we will be charged of half-day price. We will only be staying awake for few more hours before Monorail opens.
TOTAL = RM 47.83 / Php 693.53
Genting Highlands/Petronas Tower at Night
7:30am-8:00am - ride Monorail from Bukit Bintang Station to Titiwangsa station (RM2.10)
8:00am-9:00am - ride Genting bus going to Genting highlands (RM 6.6). Cable car still under renovation.
9:00am-4:00pm - go around Genting. We bought Outdoor ticket to spend the day off (RM 38). This package does not include there signature rides. You have to pay separately for those.
We had our full meal lunch inside and spent RM 13 each which includes shake, noodles, vegetable, rice, chicken.
4:00pm-5:00pm - back to Titiwangsa station via Genting Bus. (RM 6.6). We planned to go to Batu cave but we missed the bus going there so we opt to head back to our hotel and freshen up.
5:00pm-5:30pm - back to Bukit Bintang station (RM 2.10)
5:30pm-7:30pm- check-in at Hotel ambassador (RM 155.00 / 3 person = RM 51.66). Very clean, cheap, and accessible to all means of transportation.
7:30-8:00pm - we walked almost 30minutes going to Petronas tower which is roughly 1.3KM. On the way, we passed through Pavillion mall which is very very much like Greenbelt 5 and Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC)
8:00pm-9:00pm - picture! picture! picture!
9:00pm-10:00pm - dinner (kebab meal and iced jelly for RM 14.00)
back to hotel.
TOTAL = RM 14.03 / Php 1943.87
Petronas Skybridge/China Town/Masjid Jamek
Petronas skybridge is open only from Tuesday to Fridays. Admission ticket is free but you have to make sure you go to ticket booth as early as 6am to avail of the limited ticket and avoid staying long in the line. We are already there at 6am sharp were we are already at the 20th of the line, ticket booth opens at 8:30am, first batch can go up by 9am, and can stay for 10-20minutes per batch.
5:45am-6:00am - taxi again will ask for fixed fee as this time (RM 10)
7:00am-8:00am - breakfast (rice with chicken for RM 4.50). We only bought food in the nearby convenient store.
8:00am-9:30am - go around skybridge.
9:30am-10:30am - back to hotel. (taxi fare RM 6.30 / 3 person = RM 2.10)
10:30am-12:30- rest. rest. rest and check out from Hotel. But you can still leave your things at the reception area if you still would like to travel around KL.
12:30pm-1:30pm - lunch at Nasi Lemak. (chicken, fried squid and rice for RM 9.24)
1:30pm-3:00pm - china town, ride a bus for RM 1. I spent RM 45.00 for my souvenirs
3:00pm-3:30pm - back to hotel to leave the souvenirs.
3:30pm-4:00pm - go to Masjid Jamek, one of the oldest mosques in KL. We just stayed outside to take few pictures. (Monorail RM 2.4)
4:00pm-6:00pm - we walk towards other nearby attraction. I believe that's the municipal hall and embassy.
6:00pm-7:00pm - taxi going back to Hotel. It's raining so hard that we have a very long travel time from Masjid Jamek to Bukit Bintang. (Taxi fare costs us RM 20. whew! RM 8.33/person)
7:00pm-9:00pm - go to KLIA LCCT. We haggle taxi at a fixed rate of RM 60.00 (RM 20 each)
9:00pm-10:00pm - dinner (chicken meal set RM 10.00)
10:00pm-1:30am - waiting time before departure.
TOTAL = RM 112.57 / Php 1632.27
GRAND TOTAL = Php 6947.67
Not bad! :)
